Spitz Stadium keeping iconic name
The name of an iconic product developed right here in the Lethbridge area will remain on the marquee of the city’s premier baseball facility.
Spitz Stadium, home to the Lethbridge Bulls has a new five-year $250,000 sponsorship agreement which was signed July 30 with the founder of Spitz International.
Thomas Droog signed the original sponsorship agreement in 2008 when the then Henderson Stadium was renamed Spitz Stadium. Droog, now President of T&E Ventures, eventually sold the Spitz company to Pepsico, but he still takes great pride in having the name associated with baseball in Lethbridge.
The agreement with Ground also includes a $10,000 allocation for new signage for the facility.
