The author of the Satanic Verses, Salman Rushdie, who was attacked with a knife in New York State, is still recovering in hospital. His agent says his condition is improving. Now, a bounty on Rushdie’s head was created by Iran in the 1980’s after he wrote the Satanic Verses. According to our foreign affairs expert, Lisa Daftari, what is odd about this attacker is that he was not even born when the fatwa was first issued.
