Nathan Neudorf speaks on coal policy consultation

Public consultations for a new coal policy in Alberta will begin on March 29. Alberta’s Energy Minister Sonya Savage says the new coal policy will be an updated version of the 1976 policy which was rescinded and then reinstated. Lethbridge East MLA, Nathan Neudorf, shared his thoughts on the process.

“We want this to be about people that live downstream, people that live upstream, people that live on farms, people that live in cities,” says Neudorf “the last time a process like this was undertaken to this degree was in the early 1970s, so fifty years ago”.

The province says if you would like to take part in the process to visit https://www.alberta.ca/coal-policy-development-engagement.aspx
