Murray Auto Group donates $1M toward cardiac centre

As the Murray Auto Group celebrates their 100th anniversary, they decided to mark the occasion by donating one million dollars in support of the Bringing Hearts Home Cardiac Campaign at Chinook Regional Hospital. The goal of the campaign is that more patients across Southern Alberta can access advanced cardiac care closer to home, reducing the need to travel to Calgary.
“If our gift saves even one person’s life… well, you can’t put a price on that,” says Chris Murray of the Murray Auto Group.
Once completed, the Cardiac Centre’s enhancements will include:
- A modernized ICU and redeveloped Coronary Care Unit with enhanced patient safety and infection-control design
- Dedicated cardiac CT and MRI imaging capacity
- Two cardiac catheterization labs
- Two electro–physiology labs
- Expanded cardiac diagnostics, including echo, stress testing, and Holter monitoringThe monetary goal of the campaign is $30M. This donation brings them to $26M.
