Mayor of Lethbridge in full support of new COVID-19 restrictions

Lethbridge Mayor Chris Spearman is happy with the new restrictions that were announced by the province on Tuesday night. With the news of vaccines being distributed to the younger population over the next few days, Spearman says that people in Lethbridge should continue to get vaccinated so we can get back to normal.

Spearman says the City of Lethbridge is working with the Alberta government and Alberta Health Services to make sure that vaccines are given out. The city has also set up a bus route for those who are looking to make their way to Exhibition Park to be vaccinated.

These new restrictions will affect schools, outdoor gatherings, retail, restaurants, churches, personal and wellness services, outdoor and indoor sports and fitness, funerals, and universities and colleges.

The new restrictions start today and will be in effect for at least three weeks.
