Local restaurants thriving in Lethbridge

The food scene in Lethbridge remains strong and vibrant despite the closing of some high-profile restaurant franchises in the city. The CEO of Economic Development Lethbridge Trevor Lewington says locals shouldn’t read too much into  Harvey’s, Swiss Chalet and Montana’s closing down in our city. Although these are national chains, he says the local restaurants are usually operated by franchisees who may just have a hard time making a go of it. He points out the city is still home to many national chains along with a thriving locally-owned restaurant scene.
