Local organizations team up to bring garden party to Galt Gardens

The Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge and the Southern Alberta Art Gallery have partnered to bring a Garden Party to Galt Gardens in Lethbridge. For the next three weeks, during the lunch hour, residents are invited to bring some lunch and try their hand at some arts and crafts.

“The important part of it is to just to celebrate our downtown and to celebrate Gulf Gardens. We love this space. It’s important to our community, and we’ve got to use it. And I think this is one of the ways that the arts can contribute to that use and just creating that vibrancy that the arts are so good at doing. To my left here, we’ve got some yarn bombing happening. So people are spreading their yarn about and making the place all colorful. And then it’s the next four Wednesdays that are happening in Galt Gardens,” said Jana MacKenzie, Executive Director, The Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge.

The Garden Party wraps up on August 23rd.
