Lethbridge to host OnScreen Film Festival

Lethbridge is set to roll out the red carpet for some emerging and well-known filmmakers in the community.

The OnScreen Film Festival will take place on Saturday at The Movie Mill along with September 30th at the Galt Museum and Archives.

“So we do have lots of local filmmakers emerging and very like in their career, established filmmakers with different premieres and spotlights on emerging artists. But we also have, like all the films are Canadian, but some are from the west coast of Canada to the east coast of Canada. The selection pool is across all of Canada and across all ranges of careers. So people well into their careers. Lots of that. Lots of TIFF film, NFB, lots of very established work, but then also beautiful pieces from our very exciting film industry in Lethbridge,” says Tess Mitchell, the film coordinator for the event.

The event is part of Alberta Culture Days and will showcase around 20 films.
