Lethbridge takes steps to mitigate mosquitoes this summer
The City of Lethbridge has begun its fight against the larvae produced by the mosquito. Mosquito Technician, Todd Carter, says this is an ongoing program of monitoring standing water masses for semi-permanent bodies of shallow water. Carter says that the mitigation work is also aimed at black flies and certain species of midges. Carter says the work to reduce the mosquito population continues throughout the season until it gets cold again in the fall.
