Lethbridge County conducting various road and bridge rehabilitation work

Lethbridge County will be busy this September working on numerous road rehabilitation projects.
Several stretches of cement-surface roads have been identified for cement stabilization and double chip seal work due to their conditions. Projects and their timelines include:
- RR 23-4 (Old HWY 23) between HWY 519 and TWP 10-4 (3.2 km) – begins September 1
- River Ridge Road between HWY 3 entrance/exit and TWP 9-2 (2.2 km) – begins September 6
- RR 21-1 (McNally Road) between TWP 8-2 and HWY 508 (3.2 km) – begins September 10
- TWP 10-4 between HWY 845 & RR 20-1 (1.3 km) – begins September 16
- RR 21-5 south of HWY 25 (1.8 km) – begins September 19
Affected landowners will receive a letter with full details. The roads will remain open during construction but will be reduced to single-lane traffic.
Additionally, crews will be starting maintenance work on September 8th for the Kipp Bridge on Township Road 9-4 outside of Coalhurst near the CPKC railyard. A single lane will remain open but flag persons will be on site to manage traffic flow with short stops expected.
This project, as well as the road rehabilitation work are all expected to wrap up by the end of September, weather permitting.
