Increase of calls prompts Lethbridge Police to purchase new armoured vehicle
Lethbridge Police Officers unveiled their brand new Armoured Rescue Vehicle. The unit is replacing a 30-year-old converted truck that police were using for the past six years. The old vehicle did not meet safety standards and posed a risk for officers responding to calls. Lethbridge Police Chief, Shahin Mehdizadeh, says the rise in tactical deployment over the past three years made the purchase necessary.
