Go Fund Me campaign raises funds to help southern Alberta woman

When a disease enters our lives, it can be devastating. Not only for ourselves but also for our families. It takes a toll physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and financially. It is then when helping hands are needed to show support that goes beyond words. Maisie Zawyrucha, is a young southern Alberta wife and mother of two who is facing a devastating diagnosis of Mesothelioma, a type of cancer. During her medical treatments she will be unable to work to help provide for her family. Her employer of 10 years, LA Chefs Catering, has launched a Go Fund Me campaign to support her during her journey. Tasha Hogg, marketing coordinator with LA Chefs Catering, discusses how much they hope to raise during the campaign. According to Canadian Cancer Society, Mesothelioma is a group of cancer cells that can grow into and destroy tissue within the body. If not treated right away it can also spread throughout the body.
