Former Lethbridge MLA Maria Fitzpatrick re-seeking Alberta NDP nomination for Lethbridge-East

Former Lethbridge MLA Maria Fitzpatrick has announced her intent to seek the Alberta NDP nomination for Lethbridge-East. Fitzpatrick was first elected as the NDP MLA for Lethbridge-East in 2015 until she was defeated by the UCP’s Nathan Neudorf in 2019.

Fitzpatrick says the UCP and Neudorf have not stepped up during the pandemic which is why she is seeking the NDP nomination to run once again.

Although a provincial election hasn’t been called in Alberta, it’s expected to be held sometime between March and May of 2023. Fitzpatrick will be competing for the nomination along with recent Lethbridge City Councillor Rob Miyashiro.
