Farm Family Award nominations open

Applications are now open for deserving farm families to receive some much needed recognition at next year’s Calgary Stampede.

The Farm Family Award is presented to agriculture families from across the province each year.

Klaas VanderVeen, the chairman of the Lethbridge County Agricultural Service Board explained why the initiative is so important.

“Agriculture is the backbone of our economy in Lethbridge County, and it’s incredibly important that we recognize those farming families who contribute so much to the strength and stability of our region. Farmers are hardworking, resilient, adaptable and display a strong commitment to our communities.”

The nomination deadline is August 27, and you can check out the Lethbridge County website for more information https://lethcounty.ca/p/bmo-farm-family-award
