CRHF hoping to raise $250,000 for Radio-A-Thon
The 13th annual Care From the Heart Radio-A-Thon is back on Thursday. The annual event is a chance for local radio stations to chat live on air with nurses, doctors, and donors to talk about the impacts that donations from the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation have on the community.
Allan Bartolcic, the executive director of the foundation explained how much they are hoping to raise this year and what the funds will go toward.
“We’re hoping to raise upwards of $250,000. And the money goes to the greatest needs of the hospital, be it through the emergency, mental health, addictions, day procedures, diagnostics, whatever that might be. It certainly will go to some of the greatest needs. And some of the dollars, just in the past year alone have gone to the hospitals, purchased a staxi chairs, handheld vein finder, sonosite ultrasound, jaundice meter. Those are just a few of the items that we have purchased for the hospital this year, and we’re very, very proud of that.”
Over $3 million has been raised since the Care From the Heart Radio-A-Thon began 13 years ago.
