City recruiting census takers

The City of Lethbridge is recruiting census takers for this year’s Census. Those who are interested in participating as a census taker would need to be available for a three-week period and enjoy walking for long periods of time. An official with the city says it’s important that they recruit enough people as it helps to calculate the number of people living in Lethbridge.

“We attract a special crowd that do census takers. People who really enjoy going out there, enjoy the walk and getting the information. We require the information because, as I mentioned, for planning purposes. So it’s very useful to us. The information where is about 43,000 households. So it’s a lot of work, but we all enjoy it. So we would encourage people to apply to census at lethbridge dot ca,” said David Sarsfield, Deputy City Clerk, City of Lethbridge.

Applications to apply will be accepted until the 24th and successful candidates will be notified by mid-March.
