Chinook Outdoor Club recognizes 50th anniversary

The Chinook Outdoor Club is celebrating their 50th anniversary. Last year’s event was cancelled due to the pandemic, but they decided to hold a BBQ Tuesday night to mark the occasion. The group was started in Lethbridge in 1970, and members say the club has maintained 80 to 100 members over the past five decades. The group goes out for hiking, cycling, and skiing trips in areas throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Montana. The club’s president, Eric Bremer, says the group has organized a trip almost every weekend for the last 50 years.

Bremer says they are still looking for members and you can learn more about the group by visiting their website
