Blood Tribe launches new community mobile app

Over 400 members from the Blood Tribe are now using a new mobile communications app through the Kainai Nation. The app was launched on February 17th and is meant to help out residents who are looking for more information including  new job opportunities. An official with the Blood Tribe says development of the app began shortly after the pandemic.

“We have been thinking about the app for a little while now, the pandemic. We really saw how people know how remote were and access that information. So having an app would benefit our members who live in rural areas, who live off reserve and are able this would give them the opportunity to access that information,” said Pam Blood, Director of Communications and Community Engagement, Blood Tribe.

Blood says more residents are signing up daily and it is available to download on either an iPhone or an Android device.
