Award-winning films set to hit Lethbridge

Lovers of film are set to view some award-winning movies at the Yates Theatre. The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour will showcase a variety of film entries. This year’s tour will feature a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films. Over 400 film entries are submitted and picked to travel the globe. Jonathan Jarvie with the Lethbridge Public Library says this is a great opportunity for Lethbridge residents to get out and enjoy some modern day films.

“The program will be showing eight films. They range anywhere from four minutes for the shortest film, and 55 minutes is the longest one. They’re from a variety of different countries around the world. The United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, and Switzerland.”

The event will take place at the Yates Theatre on January 14th. You will have to present your QR code or provide proof of a negative PCR test 72 hours before being able to enter the facility. Tickets are now on sale, and are available at the Lethbridge Public Library.
