Knud Petersen named 2026 Whoop-Up Days Parade Marshal

While the 2026 edition of Whoop-Up Days doesn’t arrive until August, organizers have already announced who will lead the annual parade. Knud Petersen has been named the 2026 Parade Marshal, becoming the first person selected through Excite Lethbridge’s new community nomination program. Petersen will lead the official kickoff of the celebrations through the streets of Lethbridge on August 18th.

Petersen was one of more than a dozen high-quality nominations received from across the community.
