Christmas Hope asks for help as needs increase
As the holiday season approaches with budgets being tighter than ever, more families are relying on the community to ensure their little ones receive presents at Christmastime. That is where Christmas Hope— a collaborative campaign involving seven local organizations, plays a vital role, gathering toys, clothing, and essential supplies for those in need.
Tanya Lister Site director with MyCityCare Lethbridge, says community support has been exceptional, yet there remains a prioritized list of items that are most urgently required this season
Alongside MyCityCare, the Interfaith and the Lethbridge Food Bank, Salvation Army, Lethbridge Family Services, Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization, and Volunteer Lethbridge are all part of this multi-agency collaboration.
Also, as part of the Christmas Hope campaign, a “Stuff the Bus” event will take place this Saturday, December 13, at Save-On-Foods North from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., where the community can donate food and toys.
This partnership is supporting approximately 3,000 adults, 6,000 children, and 250 seniors this Christmas.
