Lethbridge City Council defeats ward system proposal

Lethbridge City Council debated the prospect of implementing a ward system for city councillors. The motion was made at Tuesday’s meeting to explore the practicalities of a ward system, including costs, the number of councilors and other relevant factors.

In the end however, council voted not to explore the possibility. The motion was defeated 6-3. BCN’s Landon Hickok has more on this story.
