Up to 130 km/h winds in Southern Alberta

Southern Alberta woke up today under an orange wind warning, accompanied by rain and snow. Westerly winds have strengthened, with gusts of up to 130 km/h along the Highway 3 corridor between Lethbridge and the B.C. border.

Terri Lang, meteorologist with Environment and Climate Canada says that it covers a fairly large area of southern Alberta south of Calgary.
