University of Lethbridge spring convocation returns for in-person ceremonies

Graduates of the University of Lethbridge will be able to walk the stage once again in June for spring convocation after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the last two ceremonies to run virtually. An official with the university says past graduates who couldn’t attend in-person ceremonies because of COVID, will be invited to walk the stage this year.

“We are going to be welcoming back our 2020 and 2021 grads that wish to have that in-person experience as well to walk the stage and have that experience, so we are super excited about it.  The degree is really a culmination of time and so many different people take a part in that experience for a student including our faculty and staff, but also their families and their support systems, and so being able to bring them and celebrate with all the people that played a part in them achieving their goals at the university is exciting,” said Miranda Mackenzie Convocation and Student records Coordinator at the University of Lethbridge.

The ceremonies will be taking place on June 1-3.
