Two hikers found dead in Crowsnest Pass

Two hikers have been found dead just outside of Coleman in the Crowsnest Pass. RCMP say the overdue hikers were hiking along the North York Creek Plane Crash Trail and were discovered around 7pm on Thursday night. A helicopter from Fernie BC recovered the bodies of the two men aged 34 and 35 from Lethbridge. They were found at the bottom of the ridge at Mount Coulthard. RCMP along with Search and Rescue assisted with the ground and air search. The City of Lethbridge confirmed that one of the hikers was Greg Gaudette a member of Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services. Flags will be lowered at City Hall and our five fire stations in his honour.  The other hiker was Jonah Swen who was an RN and paramedic. A Go Fund Me account has been set up to support both of the men’s families.
