Trudeau doubles debt says Taxpayers Federation
It is official. The national debt has now doubled under the leadership of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. According to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation it took around 24 prime ministers 150 years to rack up a 616–billion–dollar debt but in the last nine years it now stands at 1.23 trillion dollars. To chat about this in more detail is the federal director of the CTF, Franco Terrazzano, who joined us from Ottawa. Terrazzano explained to BCN’s Hal Roberts how much will that cost the average Canadian taxpayer to service that debt.
