When it comes to fundraising, many times Conservative parties in Alberta usually outdo their competition…but not lately. According to legislative reporter, Tyler Dawson, the NDP out fundraised the UCP by a 2 to 1 margin. The NDP raised $1.2 million while the UCP apparently only brought in around $600,000. Dawson says the former leader of the Wildrose Party, Brian Jean, believes a big reason is that the NDP is now receiving donations from many grassroots Albertans.
