School lunch program changes during teacher strike

Classes are on hold due to teacher’s strike, but hunger doesn’t stop. With this in mind, the Mindful Munchies School Lunch Program resumed operations just three days after the strike began, on October the 9th. The only difference is instead of Lethbridge Food Bank delivering lunches directly to schools, the meals must be picked up at the Food Drive-Through, set up specifically for this purpose. Our BCN, Heidi Echavarria, visited the charity to see how this temporary version of the program works.
