Raymond Stampede grandstand set for demolition

In 1902, the first rodeo in Canada was held in the small town of Raymond, Alberta. Sadly, the historic grandstand at the Raymond Stampede grounds is set for demolition once this year’s event wraps up. A new site has also been picked to construct a new stampede venue for 2024. BCN’s Micah Quinn chatted with stampede enthusiasts who want to help preserve its long history.

If you want to catch one last piece of history, the Raymond Stampede will run from June 29th to July 1st.
