Phase One snow plowing to begin in residential areas Wednesday

Snow removal is well underway in Lethbridge and to ensure snow plowing can move forward without issues, temporary parking restrictions are now in effect along snow routes. Darwin Juell, the transportation manager for the city said Phase One snow plowing in residential areas will begin on Wednesday with the potential for ticketing of vehicles.

“The ticketing will be done on anybody that is parked after the snow route is declared and before the snow plow gets there because it’s impeding the operation. And so our ticketing operation will come in after the snow plowing is done and ticketing those vehicles that are affecting our snow and ice control operation.”

The measures will remain in place until the city announces snow routes are no longer active and you can go and park your vehicle again.
