PepsiCo ‘Farm of the Year’ award handed to southern Alberta farm

A southern Alberta farm has received a prestigious award from PepsiCo for “Farmer of the Year” across all its global partners.

The Perry Family Farm located near Chin has been partnering with Frito-Lay and its parent company PepsiCo for 45 years, by providing potatoes for them as well as the McCain’s company. PepsiCo held its first annual Global Farm Awards in New York in October, which celebrated over 60 farmers from 19 countries. The four-generation Perry Family Farm was honoured for their regenerative agriculture, renewable energy and productivity.

Co-owner Harold Perry tells BCN it’s a credit to their family and crew who take ownership and pride in their work.
