The province of Nova Scotia made headlines in early August, when premier Tim Houston ordered a ban on hiking and outdoor activities in the forests – due to the risk of wildfires. There are many who think it’s perfectly appropriate in the name of public safety – but, others see this as major, government control and overreach. One of those is Canadian war veteran, Jeffrey Evely who decided to intentionally violate the ban. He joined us from Nova Scotia to discuss why he did it.
