Report: Manufacturing in Lethbridge contributes $4 billion to economy

Economic Development Lethbridge released findings from a study done on the region’s manufacturing contributions, claiming the industry field supports a quarter of all local employment and generates $4.2 billion annually.

Since 2016, manufacturing exports have grown by 163%, which is the highest growth rate per-capita among major cities in Alberta. EDL says this report alone proves that the city is more than the agriculture hub that it’s known for.
