LPS resolve high-risk incident in North Lethbridge

Lethbridge Police responded to a high-risk incident in North Lethbridge just after 6am on Friday morning in the 200 block of Uplands Boulevard North.

No details of the incident have been publicly released, but BCN spoke with nearby residents later in the morning, who described a large police presence in the area … they also heard a loud blast.

Witnesses also say that police took someone away in handcuffs. BCN captured video of multiple vehicles parked horizontally blocking several driveways. A tow truck later took away a black BMW with police following behind.

LPS say regular use of the area may resume, but officers will remain on scene to continue their investigation.
