Southern Alberta Summer Games are underway in Taber
The Southern Alberta Summer Games are underway in Taber. The event, which brings together young athletes and their families from Pincher Creek, Raymond, Fort Macleod, Brooks, Lethbridge, and other towns, features over 20 sports. According to Taber Councilor, Carly Firth, events held today include 3-on-3 basketball, badminton, beach volleyball, E-sports, photography display, soccer, and swimming.
The Southern Alberta Summer Games were first held in Pincher Creek in 1970 with the intent to provide an opportunity for those in many different sports, age groups and skill levels to compete in regional competitions.
