LPS Chief addresses issues within the police service

Lethbridge Police Chief Shahin Mehdizadeh was the main speaker at a virtual town hall that was hosted by the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday.  The chief gave comment on current investigations involving potential unwarranted database searches.

In recent news, Justice Minister Kaycee Madu has asked for more information from the Chief in regards to a plan on how to improve things at the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS).  Meddizadeh gave comment into what specifically the Justice Minister is looking for.

The LPS and the Lethbridge Police Commission must submit an amended action plan to the justice department by June 25.
