Lethbridge’s 4 re-elected city councillors will be back in council chambers
Four returning city councillors have been re-elected to serve Lethbridge. Belinda Crowson, Mark Campbell, Jeff Carlson, and Ryan Parker will all sit around council chambers once again.
Last council saw diverse opinions between councillors, but councillor Belinda Crowson who will be starting her second-term and came in second place with 6.5 per cent of the vote, says she hopes the new orientation package that the governance committee brought forward will benefit all members before meetings get underway.
The four returning councillors all agree that listening to the community will drive the council in the right direction over the next four years.
Ryan Parker placed fourth in the polls and will be serving his eighth-term on council. Parker will also be the youngest member on council, which he hopes to bring that perspective to council chambers.
Crowson says although campaigning is done, councillors are still looking to interact and hear the public’s concerns and answer their questions.
Councillor Campbell will be starting his second-term on council, with Jeff Carlson entering his sixth-term.
The group will be sworn in on Monday.
