Lethbridge School Division names new Superintendent
A familiar face in the southern Alberta school system has just been named as the new Superintendent of the Lethbridge School Division. Mike Nightingale will take over the duties of Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Gilmore who announced her retirement in late February.
Allison Purcell who is the Board Chair of the Lethbridge School Division says the lengthy search included applicants from across Canada. Nightingale’s career spans 23-years in southern Alberta. A former teacher at Catholic Central High School, he’s also been an associate principal, principal and central office administrator with Holy Spirit, Palliser and Lethbridge School Divisions.
Nightingale’s four-year term will begin on August 1, 2023.
