Lethbridge Police Service host 3rd annual Charity Check Stop this weekend
This weekend Lethbridge Police will be setting up a Charity Check Stop at the ENMAX Centre where officers will be accepting donations of new unwrapped toys and nonperishable food items. It’s all part of the Christmas Hope campaign. This is the 3rd annual check stop and Constable Stewart Kambeitz says this event is a great way to get everyone involved.
“It’s great for the community members just to, we love to be able to provide in any kind of way to the community. And it’s great for the police officers to have that positive relationship, those positive interactions with the community. It’s great. A number of reenlisting I’ve called them volunteers from our service, they just love the interaction with community and that positive spirit, that positive vibes that come with it.”
The check stop will be taking place on Saturday from noon till 4 p.m.
