Joining forces through art to raise awareness against sexual violence

Organizations and community are joining efforts to continue raising awareness against sexual violence. In the frame of the Sexual Violence Awareness Month, a unique art show called Impact Unveiled: Beyond the Silence was launched Monday afternoon at the Yates Theatre. Local talent joins the effort, sparking conversations by sharing messages of survival, strength, empowerment and the emotions tied to these experiences. According to Alberta Government Alberta’s government continues to support survivors by providing more than $88 million through Budget 2025 to prevent family and sexual violence, including an additional $1.5 million to sexual assault centres across the province and the Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services
