Funeral home collecting donations for local food banks

A funeral home which collected hundreds of pounds of food in support of two food banks in Lethbridge last year is doing it again this year.

In a Facebook post, Cornerstone Funeral Home said they were blown away by the support they received from the community when they hosted a food drive.  The donations were collected in support of the Lethbridge Food Bank and the Interfaith Food Bank.  Travis Zentner who is a business manager for the funeral home says he hopes that this year they can meet or exceed last year’s donations.

Over at the Interfaith Food Bank, Executive Director Danielle McIntyre says the funeral home has been a long-time blessing to the community.

You can drop off non-perishable food items or hygiene products Cornerstone Funeral Home until May 28.
