Full day of activities planned for Canada Day in Lethbridge

Canada Day is shaping up to be a very busy day here in Lethbridge.
The days are warm and COVID mandates are eased.  And after so much uncertainty with the safety of public gatherings, it’s the perfect recipe for a big cause to celebrate our nation’s birthday in Lethbridge.  Chair of the Canada Day Committee, Sarah Burton says the festivities start in the morning at Galt Gardens, then move over to Henderson Lake in the afternoon.
And while many of us are happy to be at large gatherings again, the City is taking measures to ensure uninvited viruses don’t get a chance to spread.  Burton says there will be hand sanitization stations located throughout the areas, and attendees are advised to socially distance.
And for those who want to celebrate at home, the City will also be continuing their decorating contest for 2022.  Give your home, business or sidewalk a Canada-themed flair and have the chance to win a prize.  More details can be found on the City of Lethbridge website.
