Fire Prevention Week runs from Oct. 3-9
This is Fire Prevention Week. It is a time to review and learn about safety tips in case of an emergency. This year’s campaign focuses on Learning the Sounds of Fire Safety, a way for people to familiarize themselves with different noises you may hear such as a smoke alarm or carbon dioxide detector.
Lethbridge Fire Prevention Officer, Troy Hicks, says it’s important to be aware of your surroundings and change the battery on your smoke alarm twice a year.
With COVID-19 limiting in person safety courses, you can check out some safety tips here.
