Community Foundation accepting applications for grant programs
The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta are now accepting applications for their grant funding program for spring intake. Some of the applications that are open currently include the Rural Life and Community Priorities which is awarding three hundred thousand dollars. Charleen Davidson with the Community Foundation says these grants are super important as the charitable sector is very critical.
“Anytime we can give them support or the community can give them support it just enhances their ability to support the community back. So it’s pretty important for them. For some folks, we’re the first ones in, for some, were the last. They’ve been fundraising for a couple of years, and we come in with the last little bit that they need to finish their project. So it’s pretty exciting. So there’s lots of opportunity for groups. If they’re looking for some financial support, not sure where they should be looking. Give her office a call, have a conversation with our grants coordinator Caitlin, and she will make sure that you’re applying to the right stream,” said Charleen Davidson, Executive Director, Community Foundation of Lethbridge & Southwestern Alberta.
