Coldest Night Of The Year Woods Homes fundraiser

For many it’s the closest they’ll ever come to the feeling of being homeless. On Saturday, hundreds of people in Lethbridge had the opportunity to empathize with those who have no shelter this winter. This year there were two separate Coldest Night of the Year events taking place in the city. It was the 2nd year in a row for Woods Homes hosting the event. Their walk, which drew attention to youth homelessness, left from Nikka Yukko Japanese Garden on Saturday and proceeded around Henderson Lake. Executive Director, Carrie Dahl, says 139 walkers participated, which was double their numbers from last year. Dahl says they also exceeded their goal of raising $10,000.
