Canada Day celebration to be hosted by Interfaith Food Bank
The long weekend is nearly upon us and that means it’s almost time to get out and enjoy some family fun for Canada Day. The Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge is hosting a Canada Day celebration at Galt Gardens Friday. Danielle McIntyre, the Executive Director of the food bank says it’ll be nice to get back to doing in person events for Canada Day once again and there are a variety of unique things to choose from during the day.
“We’re super excited to be back in Galt Gardens for Canada Day. We are starting out the day with a charity breakfast. We have a recommendation of $2, but bring what you can and you’ll receive a breakfast sandwich, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. Throughout the entire day we have a community stage with entertainers. Domesticated Divas has partnered with us and they’ll be running an outdoor market under the percola. Le Barons Car Club will be running a car show in the park as well from 9-3:30pm. We also have food trucks in the afternoon and even the Downtown BRZ is coming along with a free picnic in the park.”
