Calgary’s Logan Bandy projected in first round of CFL Draft
Tuesday is the Canadian Football League’s Draft. It is a unique environment this year as players haven’t strapped on the pads since 2019.
The Hamilton Tiger Cats will have the first pick, and scouts will have to rely on film, and numbers from last month’s virtual combine to help them. Calgary Dinos offensive lineman, Logan Bandy, is projected to go in the first round. He says he’s excited for the opportunity to play in a league he grew up watching.
“I’ve had season tickets to the Stamps since I was six or seven-years-old with my pops, so as a kid seeing all of those players, and having the opportunity to maybe become one is a huge moment for me,” says Bandy.
The CFL recently announced its return to play will be pushed until August 5. The Grey Cup is expected to be played on December 12.
