Blood Tribe announces funding to combat opioid crisis

To try and help deal with the opioid crisis, the Blood Tribe has set aside a large sum of money to help combat the issue. Chief Roy Fox made the announcement in a video posted to the group’s YouTube page. He says $1.5 million will be used from their sourced revenue in a variety of ways to help combat the crisis.

“Two immediate matters that involves provisional funding for the Police Task Force and a housing renovation program for restoring abandoned houses. We are acquiring more of our own funds through investment returns, and we should have a total of over million and a half dollars by the end of April to begin with some of these new measures,” said Chief Roy Fox.

Chief Fox adds that the Blood Tribe Foot Patrol will also implement a new mandate which includes re-instating a curfew for townsite communities.
