April 9 set aside to remember 107th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge

Vimy Ridge Day is an annual observance on April the 9th to remember Canadians who victoriously fought in the battle of Vimy Ridge in northern France during the First World War. Local veteran Glenn Miller laid a wreath in front of Lethbridge’s cenotaph Tuesday afternoon to observe the day which is also known as the National Day of Remembrance of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. Miller, who previously laid a wreath at the memorial in France says, he was happy to see younger generations learn more about Canada’s wartime history.

Miller adds that the best way to observe Vimy Ridge Day is to simply be thankful.
