April 6th marks five year anniversary of deadly Humboldt Broncos bus crash

Today is Broncos Day marking the 5th anniversary of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash that killed 16 people and injured 13 others. Tomorrow, April 7th will pay tribute to Green Shirt Day, which is now known as the Logan Boulet Effect. Just before former Bronco Logan Boulet died, he donated his organs which helped save six lives. Video Journalist Micah Quinn went to the Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre in Lethbridge where an event was held to spread awareness for Green Shirt Day and organ donation. Logan Boulet’s father, Toby Boulet, also talked about how the family is coping five years after the devastating crash.

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu was sentenced to eight years after pleading guilty to 29 counts of dangerous driving in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash that killed 16 and injured 13 others.
